Nothing like good old plywood. Use this for general purposes. If need for a simple box or lid, I would go with something thinner than 1/2 inch.

This is really nice and thin wood. I would use this for most of my plywood needs. For the projects we will be doing this would be nice for parts.
Use MDF is you are concerned about a nice edge. It cuts nicely. Not as strong as plywood, but still quite useful! It is quite thick though.
This is quite tricky to cut, but doable. This is nice stuff and you will get a mirror finish on those cuts.
If you have put a lot of thought into your project and you need something very stiff, light, and thin; here it is. Should result in a nice cut.
It is fun to work with Cork. Its easy to cut and it cuts nicely. Use this for aesthetic purposes if you can. It will look good!
And of course.... We will be printing part with our Makerbot. Only have PLA filament at this time.
